Role Overview

This role involves providing expertise and support to ensure control activities and critical tasks are completed timely. It includes analyzing complex activities across multiple systems and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform control activities related to reporting large cash transactions, analyzing complex transactions involving various products.
  • Coordinate with branches to investigate anomalies and request corrections.
  • Submit transaction reports to FINTRAC for large cash transactions.
  • Monitor and manage department mailboxes to ensure reporting evidence is available.
  • Report progress on escalated issues to stakeholders and management.
  • Identify process or control gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in daily and monthly reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Complete workload within deadlines and communicate issues to management.
  • Participate in meetings and planning, and communicate concerns.
  • Stay updated on legislation and policies related to AML and terrorist financing.
  • Participate in special projects and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • University degree with 2 years of related experience, or college diploma with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
  • Knowledge of banking products and processes.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in high-volume environments.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook; familiarity with financial systems is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing needs.
