Job summary

Kelly Services (Canada), Ltd. is seeking an experienced Accounting & Administration Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, and day-to-day office administration in Putnam, ON.

This hands-on leadership role combines financial management with CRA/tax coordination and oversight of AR, AP and Customer Service functions. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong Excel and ERP skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • CPA designation or pursuing CPA is an asset.
  • Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience overseeing or coordinating AR, AP, and Customer Service functions.
  • Strong ERP and systems knowledge.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and year-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow projections, and analyses.
  • Analyze results, variances, profitability, and trends; provide recommendations.
  • Coordinate tax filings and audits with CRA/sales tax.
  • Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Oversee cash management, banking, and payments.
  • Manage General Ledger in Ross ERP and improve processes.
  • Oversee office administration and lead CSR, AR, AP teams.
  • Set priorities, monitor workflows, and coach staff.
  • Support collaboration between Customer Service, Finance, Sales and Operations.
  • Identify efficiency, service level, and profitability improvements.
  • Coordinate insurance renewals and assist with contract reviews.
  • Support acquisitions and strategic projects.
  • Maintain process documentation.
  • Assist with other projects as required.

Job Title: Accounting & Administration Manager

Location: Putnam, ON

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Salary: $70,000-$80,000 per year

Benefits: Health benefits and RRSP matching available after a 3-month probationary period

Our client is looking for an experienced Accounting & Administration Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, cash management, and day-to-day office administration. This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines financial management with oversight of Customer Service, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a growing and changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements
  • Prepare budgets, rolling forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial analysis
  • Analyze financial results, budget variances, profitability, and business trends, providing recommendations to management
  • Coordinate tax filings, CRA/sales tax audits, and related documentation
  • Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Oversee cash management, banking, and payment processes
  • Manage the General Ledger using the Ross ERP system and identify opportunities to improve financial processes
  • Oversee office administration and provide leadership to the CSR, AR, and AP functions
  • Set priorities, monitor workflows, and provide coaching and direction to team members
  • Support collaboration between Customer Service, Finance, Sales, and Operations
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service levels, and profitability
  • Coordinate insurance renewals and assist with contract reviews from a financial and operational perspective
  • Support acquisitions, business growth initiatives, and other strategic projects
  • Maintain clear and effective process documentation
  • Assist with other projects and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
  • CPA designation or currently pursuing CPA is an asset
  • Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Experience overseeing or coordinating AR, AP, and Customer Service functions
