Are you a seasoned and accomplished accountant seeking a senior-level role that allows you to leverage your extensive experience and expertise? We are actively recruiting for a remote Senior Accountant based in Canada, to join our team and take a leadership role in our corporate financial and accounting functions for the Americas. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal part in driving financial excellence across the organization.

About the Role

How will you contribute

• Meet deadlines established weekly and monthly (A / R, Payroll, Accruals, Financial Statements, Operations) and liaise with plant departments to understand costs; provide advice as appropriate
• Compile billing information provided from Operations Supervisors each week and create customer invoices based on data provided by production managers and prepare weekly cash forecast for Treasury
• Complete month end financial statements, variance analysis and journal entries in addition to preparation of the summary of weekly and monthly billing for Corporate
• Assist Controller with development of the annual budget and reforecast for the plant location while developing and implementing a monthly forecast methodology
• Assist with internal and external audit preparation and complete monthly account reconciliations
• Preparing accounts receivable invoicing and maintain contact with customer on collection of outstanding invoices, verifying accounts receivable match contract language and analyzing and identifying anticipated financial results
• Provide support for new business quotations, capital requests and opportunities for cost savings
• Propose and implement process improvements and adopt a sense of continuous improvement
• Other duties as assigned

Your Key Qualifications

• A degree in Finance or Accounting, combined with a CPA designation
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounting role in a business environment
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, including the ability to work with all internal and external stakeholders
• SAP Experience is an asset

Salary Range : $75,500-$86,500 CAD

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
