Job summary

Flair Airlines is seeking an Accountant to support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis from our Edmonton, AB office. You’ll work closely with the Financial Reporting team to ensure IFRS-compliant reporting, strong controls, and timely financial statements.

The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and is pursuing a CPA designation. Proficiency in Excel and NetSuite is preferred, with a focus on accuracy and process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Progress toward CPA designation is strongly preferred.
• 3–6 years of progressive accounting experience in public practice, industry, or both.
• Experience with IFRS, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close activities with accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare reconciliations, supporting schedules, and working papers for audits.
• Support IFRS 16 lease accounting, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and consolidated reporting.
• Review transactions for proper GL coding and recording, including intercompany eliminations.
• Prepare journal entries for accruals, prepaid expenses, and adjustments.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and responses to inquiries.
