Job summary

Security ONE Alarm Systems has been protecting homes and businesses in Southwestern Ontario for nearly 50 years. We’re seeking an Accountant to own day-to-day accounting and reporting while helping us improve processes, reporting, and use of AI-enabled tools.

You’ll work directly with the Director of Finance in Windsor, with a chance to impact decisions and drive efficiencies across finance. This full-time, permanent role offers growth and stability.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• At least 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Experience with accounting software and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activity and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly HST filings and assist compliance requirements.
• Analyze financial results and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and improve internal financial reports and dashboards.
• Review accounting workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Use Excel and technology to organize and analyze data.
• Explore AI and automation tools within Finance to improve processes.
• Collaborate with the Director of Finance on priorities and projects.
