Job summary

MNP in Kamloops is seeking an Accountant in Assurance and Accounting for January 2028 to join a dynamic, client-focused team delivering tailored financial information and high-quality assurance services.

The role offers exposure to IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE, with comprehensive training and opportunities to contribute to a growing national firm. Travel may be required as part of client engagements and project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major preferred).
• CP A prerequisites for ongoing education or admission considered an asset.
• Previous accounting-related office experience is an asset.
• Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset.
• Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping and tax.
• Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE.
• Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files, including inventory counts.
• Perform A/R, A/P, capital asset activities and payroll walkthroughs with clients.
• Prepare balance sheets, P&L statements and other reports.
