Job summary

FYihealth Group in Delta, BC, is seeking a full-time Accountant to support the manufacturing division's day-to-day financial operations and month-end close. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will work on general accounting tasks, intercompany activity, and inventory procedures.

The ideal CPA candidate has 1–3 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and comfort working in a team. This role offers growth in a dynamic healthcare manufacturing environment at our Home Office.

Qualifications

• Completion of a College Diploma and/or University Degree in a related field.
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience, including data analysis.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Effective communication and team collaboration.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with motivation to learn and improve processes.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite is an asset.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile monthly sales order reports, invoicing, and discount processing.
• Perform month-end accounting procedures including GL analysis, journal entries, reconciliations, and working papers.
• Process full-cycle accounts receivable: invoicing, payments, deposits, reconciliations.
• Follow-up on outstanding issues with clinics and provide guidance as needed.
• Analyze monthly accounts and reconcile to company systems.
• Prepare, reconcile, and post intercompany transactions and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Support inventory counts and related procedures.
• Help implement and improve SOPs and internal reporting.
• Assist with special/ad hoc projects.
• Perform other duties to support the team and goals.

Join our team as an Accountant! We are seeking a full-time dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant for our manufacturing facility located in Delta, BC. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will support the day-to-day financial operations within the manufacturing division of FYihealth Group, including the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close. This is a great opportunity for a driven CPA candidate who loves to learn and wants to grow their career.

We are ideally seeking a candidate located in Delta BC, where our Ophthalmic Laboratory is located.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and reconcile monthly sales order reports, ensure timely invoicing of shipped orders, and process additional sales discounts
• Perform month-end accounting procedures, including general ledger account analysis, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting working papers
• Process full-cycle accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment processing, bank deposits, and reconciliations
• Follow-up on outstanding issues and inquiries with clinics, providing guidance and assistance as required
• Analyze monthly accounts and reconcile to various systems used within the company
• Prepare, reconcile, and post intercompany transactions, ensuring maintenance and accuracy in pricing
• Support the development and implementation of inventory counts and procedures
• Implement and look to continually improve standard operating procedures and processes and assist in creating and improving internal reporting
• Assist in the completion of special projects and/or ad hoc projects
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals

What You Bring

• Completion of a College Diploma and/or University Degree in a related field
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience, including experience working with and analyzing large data sets
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• A self-starter and highly motivated individual with a drive to learn and improve self and processes
• Experience with ERP systems particularly NetSuite is considered an asset
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills
