Job summary

Interfor is seeking an Accountant at Adams Lake, British Columbia. The role supports contractor pay, log sales, stumpage, financial close and reporting, collaborating with accounting and operations to ensure accurate financial information and robust controls.

Initially 5 days in the office during onboarding, with potential for 4 days in the office and 1 day remote as the role progresses. Interfor offers competitive salary and benefits with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational or manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to support accounting close and reporting processes.
• Knowledge of contractor pay, invoicing, and cost accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process and administer contractor pay, including transaction processing, contract maintenance, and semi-monthly payments to contractors.
• Process and manage log sales invoicing and reconciliations.
• Prepare stumpage & waste accruals, payments and reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation and posting accounting entries and supporting reconciliations.
• Process accounts receivable transactions.
• Prepare recurring internal reports and support ad hoc reporting requests.
• Provide accounting support and backup coverage across BC interior divisions as required.

When you join our team as a Accountant supports a broad range of accounting activities,including contractor pay, log sales, stumpage, financial close and reporting.Working collaboratively with accounting and operational teams, the role helps ensureaccurate financial information, effective controls and consistent processes.

This role will start off as 5 days in the office during the training/onboarding period and then eventually there will be opportunities to work 4 days in the office and 1 day remote.
