Position Overview

The TEAM Companies’ Talent Division offers talent business affairs and payroll services to the advertising, visual effects, and electronic games industries. As the employer of record, accuracy and timeliness are vital for compliance with union, legal, and payroll requirements. This self-starter role requires supervisory skills, attention to detail, initiative, discretion, professionalism, and a proactive attitude.

Core Responsibilities

  • Interface with clients and payroll team on project setup, processing, residuals, review, and verification.
  • Set up new clients in the system.
  • Estimate residuals and support client inquiries regarding talent contracts, audits, union waivers, and cast determinations.
  • Ensure payroll is processed within deadlines.
  • Maintain data accuracy and client notifications.
  • Assist in establishing and verifying payroll procedures.
  • Attend off-site meetings and participate in new business pitches.
  • Train junior staff on payroll and union regulations.
  • Back-up colleagues as needed and assist with internal system testing and quality assurance.
  • Handle additional tasks and projects as required.

Key Qualifications

  • Some university business courses or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of advertising talent management, business affairs, or traffic.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Positive attitude and strong client service skills.
  • Understanding of payroll regulations for government and entertainment industries.
  • Proficiency with standard office equipment and software (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to multitask under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with U.S. and Canadian performer unions (SAG-AFTRA, ACTRA, UDA AFM / CFM).
  • Minimum of 5 years in entertainment talent payroll.

Work Conditions

Sedentary work involving sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing. May involve exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally.
