As an Account Manager, your primary objective is to enhance TELUS' presence in the Commercial market by delivering innovative technology solutions that align with the client's core business objectives. You will focus on addressing and exploring services such as MPLS, business internet, security, SaaS & IaaS, unified cloud communication, mobility, and IoT. Leveraging these solutions, you will help clients optimize their strategies and achieve desired outcomes, supported by TELUS' internal experts, training resources, and external partnerships.

How You Will Be Successful

  • Own customer relationships, territories, and account strategies
  • Grow/maintain revenue and develop new business opportunities
  • Champion TELUS within customer organizations and advocate for them internally
  • Partner with an interdependent team of sales and technical pre-sales professionals, involving executive leaders as needed
  • Demonstrate key sales competencies such as Business Acumen, Critical Thinking, Customer Focus, Grit, and Teamwork

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare professional proposals for decision-makers that communicate TELUS solutions and value propositions
  • Negotiate contracts and pursue new business with energy and determination
  • Provide feedback on market challenges, opportunities, and competitive insights
  • Create, manage, and close sales opportunities using Salesforce

Qualifications

Ideal candidates have approximately 5 years of direct sales experience with formal methodologies, knowledge of the telco and emerging tech markets, and experience in complex solutions environments.

  • Business and technical acumen, effectively communicating financially sound solutions
  • Proven ability to build trust-based relationships aligned with TELUS' values
  • Strong customer understanding, responsiveness, and negotiation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
