THE ROLE

The role requires someone with a professional background in managing complex sales and prioritizing competing demands.

This role is responsible for creatively growing existing accounts, finding new leads, and developing business. The goal is to build relationships with key influencers and decision makers to become a trusted part of their team.

The successful candidate will handle Opportunity Generation, Project & Work Order Management, Sales Order Management, Organizational Interfaces, Sales Support & Administration, Quotation Management, Order Preparation, and relationship management through serving customer accounts.

This is a full-time permanent position based in our well-designed office. Working hours are primarily 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours depending on project needs.

THE DAY TO DAY

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Proactively hunting new business opportunities by connecting with your network of A&D, CRE, GC’s, and Project Managers.
  • Growing existing accounts by establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Understanding customer needs, goals, and satisfaction criteria, and proposing ways to enhance their space.
  • Managing ongoing client relations and coordinating with third parties like contractors and A&D firms.
  • Overseeing customer projects and work orders, directing dealer teams for implementation.
  • Attending project, account, and site meetings as required.
  • Developing plans and product specifications independently or with the design department; producing detailed, professional quotes and presenting them promptly.
  • Collaborating with service departments to develop service contracts for complex services or major projects.
  • Closing sales responsibly by obtaining signed orders, purchase orders, and deposits.
  • Preparing documents for RFPs, RFQs, bids, and tenders.
  • Maintaining documentation standards and ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Working with team members to meet sales goals and business objectives.
  • Updating weekly sales forecasts and account plans for growth.
  • Coordinating with manufacturers for lead times, contracts, discounts, and pricing.
  • Communicating pricing and lead times to clients.
  • Managing order specifications and providing administrative support to ensure order accuracy and a positive customer experience.

YOU BRING THE FOLLOWING

Your sales experience enables you to problem-solve using design thinking throughout the sales process and to understand client needs deeply, positioning you as a trusted advisor. You will manage client expectations from the initial order to project completion, keeping clients informed about progress and timelines. Strong relationship management, project management, and administrative skills are essential for success in this role.

Given the complexity of sales, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders, your experience in similar environments will be crucial. Your book of business will grow through collaboration with our Business Development team, who will transition accounts to you as needed.
