Job summary

Fresh Direct Produce in Vancouver is seeking an independent, self-driven Account Manager with sales experience in the South Asian Market to partner with customers and ensure daily produce needs are met. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will develop analytical, organizational, negotiating, and planning skills.

The role offers a base salary of 55,000–65,000 CAD per year plus commission, in-house training, group health benefits, and strong development opportunities within a dynamic,

Qualifications

• College or University degree (preferably Business or Economics) and/or 2–4 years of equivalent work experience.
• Effective sales and account service experience, along with negotiation and relationship building is a must.
• A second language is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare an annual personal sales budget plan with quarterly forecasts for selected accounts.
• Service accounts by establishing relationships with key decision-makers and follow-through on commitments.
• Source new accounts through a disciplined sales approach and evaluate market position.
• Negotiate price with accounts, considering market pricing, supply, and quality.
• Provide cross-selling opportunities for produce items within the team.
• Assist other Account Managers during vacations or absences.
• Conduct customer visitations regularly to build strong relationships.

Reporting to the Sales Manager,you will be a strategic partner for our customers, providing a high level of customer service and working with them to ensure their daily produce needs are met. You will also develop and utilize many skills, including analytical, organizational, negotiating, and planning. If this sounds like you, we look forward to hearing from you!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Prepare an annual personal sales budget plan along with updated quarterly forecasts for their selected group of accounts, including seeking strategic sales opportunities
• Service accounts by establishing positive relationships with key decision-makers and demonstrating strong follow-through on commitments
• Source new accounts through a disciplined sales approach by identifying qualified leads, evaluating their position in the market, etc.
• Negotiate price with accounts by having a keen awareness of market pricing, supply, and quality of produce items at all times (to protect the dynamics between both margins and volume sales)
• Provide tactical assistance for cross-selling produce item opportunities with other members of the team
• Assist other Account Managers with their accounts during their vacations, weekends and other absences
• Conduct customer visitations on a regular basis to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• College or University degree (preferably Business or Economics) and/or2-4years of equivalent work experience
• Effective sales and account service experience, along with negotiation and relationship buildingis a must
• A second language is a preferred.
• Possess good interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
• Strong oral communication skills and presentation skills
• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Windows
• Demonstrated continuous learning and personal/professional development
