For more than four decades they have assisted domestic and international customers with developing and integrating Iridium hardware into a wide range of devices and applications, designed innovative hardware products, and created industry leading software and situational awareness solutions. MetOcean Telematics ensures critical data is created, transmitted, received, processed, analyzed, and visualized in the fastest and most reliable manner possible anywhere in the world.

On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to join their team of dedicated professionals at their office location in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

As an integral member of the MetOcean Sales Team, the Account Manager will be responsible for the effective management & growth of existing customers, and will work closely with Sales, Production / Operations, Business Intelligence, Technical Support, and Finance to ensure efficient and effective Sales activities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Proactive management and growth in existing MetOcean customer base.
  • Foster activity that generates Sales Pipeline and leads to Sales Revenue.
  • Responsive to customers’ requests for quotations.
  • Attend exhibitions, conferences, and shows as required.
  • RFP / RFQ / RFI, Technical proposal preparation.
  • Gain a strong understanding of MetOcean’s offerings and position accordingly within the Account Base.
  • Responsible for the health of the customer relationship and success for both the customer and MetOcean.
  • Be valued by the customer as a trusted advisor and a reliable focal point for business and systems issues.
  • Follow the MetOcean Sales Process with daily updates & tracking of opportunities and activity in CRM.
  • Sales forecasting and planning.

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

Preferred Qualifications and Experiences :

  • 1-2+ years of related experience in Sales / Account Management / Inside Sales of technical products.
  • Goal oriented with a drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Proven ability to proactively engage with customers and facilitate discussions.
  • Strong organizational and business management skills.
  • A professional demeanor and ability to interact with the highest levels both inside and outside the organization.
  • Successful in proactively creating and maintaining strong internal and external relationships with centers of influence, team members, and management.
  • Ability to obtain CANADA and NATO security clearance.
  • Available to travel domestically and internationally.

Technical and Non-Technical Skills :

  • Has the aptitude to understand the full breadth of the company’s products and services.
  • Self-sufficient and can deliver necessary work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of customer service.
  • Demonstrates excellent skills in working as part of a team.
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce / MS Dynamics).
