ChampionX Account Manager Position

ChampionX has an immediate opening for an Account Manager based in Fort McMurray, AB, working remotely in a camp setting within the Fort McMurray region. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive revenue and profit growth for ChampionX programs and services within targeted accounts in the Oil and Gas industries.

We seek a self-starter with excellent time management skills and a desire to expand your accounts. You will build long-term relationships by understanding customer business drivers, executing system assurance programs, and selling new technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with current and prospective customers within an assigned territory, understanding their needs and proposing improvements to maintain and grow sales.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including plant or facility executives.
  • Create and implement sales plans to meet profit goals.
  • Provide technical support, resolve customer issues, and escalate when necessary.
  • Perform system analysis, interpret data, and offer recommendations to optimize customer operations.
  • Promote and support ChampionX innovations and technologies to foster long-term relationships.
  • Travel within the sales territory as needed.
Position Details
  • Residence within Western Canada preferred, with access to air travel due to rotational nature of the position.
  • No immigration sponsorship provided.
  • Position is safety-sensitive; drug and alcohol testing required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record required.
  • Must be clean-shaven to comply with customer site policies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical or field sales support experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems.
  • Strong work ethic with multitasking skills.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 55 pounds at chest height.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or water treatment industries.
  • Knowledge of water treatment systems.
  • Self-motivated with autonomy in work.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in account leadership involving multilevel management.
