All candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

The Account Executive is responsible for driving sales and marketing activities within the assigned region by developing new business and expanding existing accounts to meet targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain current business and develop new lanes with existing customers through visits, phone calls, or remote communication.
  2. Identify and onboard new accounts aligning with trade and commercial objectives.
  3. Expand CMA CGM presence in new areas within the region and identify new business opportunities.
  4. Prepare and execute a budget strategy for assigned and new accounts to meet or exceed volume, revenue, and contribution targets.
  5. Develop weekly sales call plans and proactively promote CMA CGM services to customers.
  6. Update sales system with relevant details including market info, customer portfolio, sales activities, and leads.
  7. Report potential volume and opportunities, and document lost business with detailed information.
  8. Analyze customer supply chain models and propose comprehensive solutions with support from CMA CGM specialists.
  9. Achieve budget performance targets for liner, + services, and supply chain solutions.
  10. Gather market intelligence on competitors’ activities and report regularly.
  11. Generate sales leads outside Canada.
  12. Negotiate long-term agreements and add value through mutual commitments and partnership programs.
  13. Collaborate closely with customers, internal teams, and overseas partners to resolve issues and strengthen relationships.
  14. Provide exceptional customer service and promote CMA CGM’s brand positively in the industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: University degree or relevant transportation schooling is advantageous.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in international transportation/shipping sales within the Toronto market.
  • Other skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; strategic thinking; negotiation skills; ability to multitask and prioritize; proficiency in Microsoft Windows programs.
