Edelman Digital is seeking an experienced account director to run one of our longest standing clients. Reporting to the Vice President of Digital, you will have the opportunity to lead digital and integrated programs, mentor teams, service clients and drive new business.

The right candidate will have significant experience with digital and content strategy, content production and content delivery, and maintain social platform expertise. We’re looking for someone who’s process driven, organized and has a passion for digital and social media.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee teams to develop brilliant digital content (creative, production)
  2. Lead, line-manage, motivate, and inspire your team
  3. Manage briefs from start-to-finish, ensuring successful delivery to deadlines across multiple campaigns
  4. Build strong relationships with clients and operate as day-to-day client contact
  5. Develop a full understanding of the client’s business, strategies, objectives, brand, audiences and challenges, advising on the communications solution that best meets their needs, with a view to becoming their trusted adviser
  6. Liaise with clients and manage expectations
  7. Lead client conversations around annual fee and scoping
  8. Own and grow inter-agency and cross-agency relationships
  9. Work in partnership with senior clients to develop annual strategies
  10. Lead by example; demonstrate strong work ethic, creative abilities and industry expertise
  11. Match project tasks with opportunities for development of the team
  12. Grow Edelman’s digital business in Canada with both new and existing clients

Qualifications:

  1. 6 to 8 years of related experience in digital marketing/advertising
  2. A fast learner with a solutions-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail
  3. Experience delivering a broad range of multi-channel marketing communications including digital, social and content
  4. Strong experience in client service including with an ability to understand and assess a client’s business and communication needs
  5. Experience managing a team
  6. Proven ability to manage large projects, budgets and teams simultaneously
  7. Experience functioning as a daily client contact, with a track record of developing and executing plans to meet client goals.
  8. Extremely organized and able to prioritize projects, partnering with other teams and clients to manage expectations
  9. Deep understanding of social content production and interactive processes and experience reviewing creative
  10. Knowledge of CRM, web and user journey
  11. Commercially driven with experience handling budgets and timelines
  12. Proven business development experience and success
  13. Resource management skills and ability to handle complex / sensitive issues
