Job summary

Dexterra Group, a leading North American facilities management provider, is seeking an Account Director to lead a dedicated custodial services team on a dynamic post-secondary campus. You will be the primary client contact, ensure service excellence, manage budgets, and uphold safety compliance while driving operational performance.

You will mentor on-site staff, pursue new business opportunities, conduct site visits, and align with stakeholders to create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management experience directing a team in facility services or related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other software applications.
• Ability to use hand-held computer technology effectively.
• Experience recruiting, training, retaining and managing staff performance, including discipline.
• Strong communication skills with clients at all levels.
• Maintain excellent relations with employees, clients and customers.
• Familiar with health, safety and environmental management systems.
• Criminal record check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead revenue growth and profitability for assigned accounts.
• Build and maintain client relationships through excellent service delivery.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership across janitorial contracts in government/public sectors.
• Mentor on-site teams to achieve performance goals.
• Identify new business opportunities to drive account growth.
• Conduct regular site visits and quality audits to ensure standards are met.
• Oversee resource planning, scheduling, and workforce optimization.
• Recruit, onboard, and train team members to support operations.
• Ensure safety standards and quality assurance protocols are followed.
• Drive client satisfaction and long-term account retention.
