Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts in Perth, Ontario, is seeking an Account Development Specialist responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new customers in the Southwestern Ontario region.

You will work with installers and sales teams to deploy marketing programs, develop sales plans, and identify opportunities to grow the business. Travel within the territory is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive aftermarket, outside sales, or customer service.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to grow accounts, execute sales plans, and identify opportunities.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, pricing, promotions, and account management.
• Ability to collaborate with store, district, regional, and corporate sales teams.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Call on installers to sell NAPA auto parts and programs. Collaborate with regional and corporate sales teams.
• Implement sales development plans and support district and regional strategies for marketing programs.
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager and Store managers to grow existing customers in the territory.
• Gather market intelligence and report service or product issues to managers and district sales manager.
• Make pricing recommendations on accounts and assist in collections and buying-condition adherence.

This is a regular full-time position and is located in Perth and surrounding area.

Salary Range: $61,700 – $77,100 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Specific responsibilities are:

• Call on installers to sell NAPA auto parts and programs. Collaborate with various sales teams at the regional and corporate levels
• Implement sales development plans and support District and Regional strategies and objectives re: deployment of marketing programs and promotions
• Collaborate with District Sales Manager and Store managers to develop sales development plans for growing business with existing customers in their assigned territory
• Gather market intelligence and report service or product issues to assigned store managers and district sales manager
• Make pricing recommendations on accounts and assist in collections and in ensuring accounts adhere to buying conditions.

Qualifications

• Automotive aftermarket, outside sales, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to grow existing accounts, execute sales plans, and identify new opportunities.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, pricing, promotions, and account management.
