Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Longueuil is looking for a dedicated technician to support engine accessory overhauls and repairs in a French-speaking environment.

You will follow technical drawings and service manuals, verify test results, document work, and help maintain quality and schedules with teammates.

Qualifications

• Holder of a DEC in aeronautics or the equivalent.
• Relevant experience in the field of aeronautics.
• Fluency in oral and written French; basic English knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that repair processes have been performed in accordance with technical specifications.
• Follow instructions from sketches and overhaul or maintenance manuals; visually and dimensionally check engine accessories.
• Check test results and remanufacturing sheets to certify work; issue the airworthiness certificate.
• Complete required documentation and perform computer transactions for parts tracking.
• Maintain records and support continuous improvement and collaboration with other trades.

Our Expectations

• As needed, provide quality monitoring service on accessory overhaul and repair lines.
• Resolve issues to maintain work quality and material flow.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and in good condition.
• Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates on different equipment and tasks.
• Perform other similar tasks of lesser or equal complexity related to the aforementioned functions.
• Participate in continuous improvement, maintain implemented scheduling concepts.
• Work in collaboration with other trades and perform related tasks.

What Will Your Daily Life Look Like?

• Ensure that repair processes have been performed in accordance with technical specifications.
• Work from instructions such as sketches and overhaul or maintenance manuals. Visually and dimensionally check engine accessories, ensure configuration and schedule them using service bulletins.
• Check the results of tests previously performed on engine accessories. Check remanufacturing sheets and labels to determine and certify that work has been completed in compliance with processes. Issue the airworthiness certificate.
• Complete required documentation. Perform computer transactions necessary for parts tracking. Keep appropriate records of various parameters up to date to establish efficient operations with statistical process control. Review statistics, make decisions regarding the continuity of operations. Report and record non-conforming part conditions or non-compliance with verification requirements to the quality department.

What You Need to Succeed

• Holder of a DEC in aeronautics or the equivalent;
• Relevant experience in the field of aeronautics;
• Fluency in oral and written French.
• This position takes place in a French-speaking work environment, nevertheless it requires a basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mind;
• Mastery of SAP, an asset.
