Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in longueuil, Quebec, is seeking a logistics/material handler to support production and warehousing. You will distribute material, receive and issue goods, and operate forklifts in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• DEP in aeronautics, logistics, or related training.
• 1 to 2 years of work experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to perform manual work with various tools.

• Knowledge of Windows in a computer environment.
• Ability to drive a forklift and other industrial vehicles.
• This position is part of a francophone work environment and does not require any knowledge of English.

What your day-to-day will look like

In a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment, the candidates sought will be called upon to:

• Distribute material across all areas of the plant
• Handle various objects, boxes, parts, carts with appropriate lifting equipment
• Receive, check, prepare, and issue all material
• Use computer transactions and software to accomplish their work
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Keep records up to date
• Drive various material handling vehicles
• Perform inventories as needed

The candidate will also be called upon to work in several workstations within the logistics team:

• Handling of parts, engines
• Receiving / shipping
• Packaging
• Storehouse

What you need to succeed

• DEP in aeronautics, logistics, or any other related training
• 1 to 2 years of work experience in an industrial environment
• Ability to perform manual work with various tools
