Job summary

North Island College’s Department of Accessible Learning Services in Campbell River is seeking a temporary non-instructional faculty member to support students with disabilities by arranging accommodations and services across College programs.

The successful candidate will evaluate needs, coordinate supports, and collaborate with staff and faculty to ensure accessibility, legal compliance, and a respectful, barrier-free learning environment.

Qualifications

• Master's in Educational Psychology or related field.
• Three or more years of experience recommending and implementing accommodation plans for students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate diagnostic data to determine accommodations for a wide range of disabilities.
• Approve and arrange effective educational accommodations and services across programs.
• Collaborate with students in planning their education.
• Support students and instructional faculty in navigating accommodation barriers.
• Collaborate with educators across the College regarding Duty to Accommodate.
• Manage and monitor Student Aid funding allocated for students with disabilities.
• Support students in-person and via digital platforms.
