Job description

We are seeking a Professional Access Control Technician with a flexible schedule, interested in career growth and development in the field.

Our technicians are responsible for installing Access Control systems.

Qualifications and expectations include:

• Ability to lead
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License (G level) with a clean driving record
• Team player
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues effectively
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities include:

• Diagnosing and repairing access control, intrusion, video, telephone, and network systems in various building types under supervision
• Following instructions and drawings for system installation
• Reporting issues and providing recommendations to the Operations Manager
• Completing system installations within scheduled timeframes and contributing to project planning
• Knowledge of systems such as DSC, Guardall, Protégé, Ccure, Avigilon, Keyscan, and others is beneficial

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma; post-secondary education in electronics or related field
• At least 3 years of relevant installation experience
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License (G level) with a clean record
• Proficiency with power tools and equipment
• Fluent in English
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift equipment and work at heights with proper safety training

This is a full-time position with a salary range of $40,000 to $70,000 per year, including benefits such as dental care, disability insurance, and extended health care.
