Job summary

Red Deer Polytechnic is seeking an Academic Integrity Coordinator to lead academic integrity and academic support services, including tutoring and international student support. You will partner with faculty and division leaders to ensure high-quality services, training, and evaluation of staff while upholding institutional policies.

You will promote honest academic practices, coordinate information literacy integration, and contribute to restorative practices in collaboration with faculty.

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree or three-year degree plus one full additional year of university in a related program representing four years of study or equivalent
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, and/or professional writing is preferred
• Experience working with English language learners and international students is an asset
• Minimum 3 years' experience supervising others including providing feedback in an evaluation process, coaching staff and scheduling based on operational needs
• Demonstrated ability to set goals and monitor achievements for self and others
• Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating work procedures and operational workflow in a dynamic public service environment
• 3-5 years' experience in a post-secondary environment or working with adult learners
• Demonstrated aptitude with computer software such as Microsoft Office, O365, and content management systems
• Experience training, planning and setting priorities for staff aligned with department goals
• Experience working with Academic Integrity Policies and Procedures
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience using data to inform service improvement or student support

Responsibilities

• Leads recruitment, hiring, performance management, and adherence to policies and collective agreements
• Provides leadership, feedback, coaching, and staff development
• Manages staff schedules and workload allocations
• Oversees day-to-day operations of direct reports
• Organizes orientation and training for staff
• Runs regular staff meetings to share updates and brainstorm improvements
• Allocates workload, approves leave, and tracks absences
• Performs performance enhancement processes and escalates issues
• Encourages professional development opportunities
• Maintains confidentiality of personal information
