Brock University is seeking an Academic Advisor (Administrative Professional) within the Goodman School of Business. Reporting to the Dean's Office, the advisor will provide specialized guidance to undergraduate students, interpreting policies and developing tailored academic plans to support progression and success.
Responsibilities include advising across diverse populations, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to continuous improvement of programs and student support services.

Reporting to the Dean's Office, the Academic Advisor provides specialized academic guidance to undergraduate students within the Goodman School of Business. The incumbent will interpret and apply institutional policies, assess individual student needs, and develop tailored academic plans that support progression and success. The Academic Advisor exercises independent judgment to resolve complex and non-routine advising situations in consultation with academic leadership, including academic risk, exceptions, and program requirements, while ensuring accuracy and integrity in academic processes such as audits, transfer credits, and adjudication. Through collaboration with faculty and campus partners, and participation in outreach, recruitment, and institutional initiatives, the position contributes to effective service delivery, informed decision-making, and continuous improvement of academic programs and student support systems.
This role may occasionally require work outside regular business hours, including evenings or weekends, based on operational needs.
