Job summary

Strike Group is seeking an Apprentice Pipefitter for the Mount Bracey Compressor Station project near Prince George, BC. You will assist journeyperson pipefitters with installation, assembly of piping, valves, and supports on site and help prepare pipes for welding and testing.

Ideal candidates are registered 4th year apprentices, willing to obtain H2S Alive and CSTS tickets, able to lift 50 pounds, and comfortable working outdoors in a camp environment with a 14/7 shift and travel allowances.

Qualifications

  • Must be a registered 4th year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
  • Must be willing to obtain valid H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 or PST tickets.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s, etc.).
  • Assist journeyperson pipefitters with the installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site.
  • Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages.
  • Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging.
  • Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape.
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems.
