Job summary

Strike Group is seeking an Apprentice Pipefitter to support on-site installation and maintenance of pipe systems and related equipment in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. You will work under journeypersons to lay out and install piping, valves, and supports, ensuring safety and quality on industrial projects.

The role requires active apprenticeship, CSTS/H2S certifications, and physical capability for outdoor work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Must be registered as a 3rd or 4th year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
Must have or be willing to obtain H2S Alive and CSTS 2020 tickets.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
Able to lift 50 pounds.
Comfortable working outdoors.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID's).
Assist journeyperson pipefitters with installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site.
Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages.
Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging.
Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape.
Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems.
