Job summary

Strike Group is seeking Apprentice Pipefitters for the Mount Bracey Compressor Station project in Western Canada. The role involves laying out, assembling, installing and maintaining pipe systems, supports, and related equipment as part of a camp-based site crew.

Shift is 14 days on / 7 days off with travel allowance and camp retention. Must be a registered 4th year Apprentice and hold or be willing to obtain H2S Alive and CSTS tickets. Outdoor work and pre-employment drug testing are required.

Qualifications

  • Must be a registered 4th year Apprentice with the appropriate provincial or federal authority.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret red-line construction drawings and blueprints (Isometrics, P&ID’s).
  • Assist journeyperson pipefitters with installation of equipment, pipe, and structural steel on site.
  • Assemble piping and valves in module and compressor packages.
  • Prepare pipe and fittings for tacking, hoisting, and rigging.
  • Hydrotest, assemble, and install pipe spools in the fabrication facility.
  • Measure, cut, and thread pipe to the required shape.
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems.
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate systems.

POSITION SUMMARY Apprentice Pipefitters possess the full range of knowledge required to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems. PROJECT DETAILS Project Name: Mount Bracey Compressor Station Nearest City: Prince George, B.C (Camp Project) Shift: 14 days on / 7 days off Travel Allowance: $400/shift Camp Retention: $25/day CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
