Job summary

Jones Healthcare Group in Brampton, Ontario, is seeking a Controls and Electrical Specialist (Electrician) to keep our manufacturing operations safe, reliable, and compliant. You will maintain and improve electrical and control systems to enable consistent production and regulatory compliance.

You’ll install, test, and repair electrical systems, read schematics, and lead on-site projects with a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

  • Electrical trade certification (442A) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or regulated environments.
  • Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, transformers and panels.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and documentation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and safety-first mindset.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, food or packaging environments is an asset.
  • CET designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, control panels, HVAC, and plant equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with PLCs, motors, drives, servos, transformers, and panels.
  • Perform bench repairs on electrical components and instruments.
  • Complete preventive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering, mechanical, and facilities teams on site projects and validations.
  • Follow safety legislation, lock-out/tag-out procedures, SOPs, and cGMP requirements.
  • Maintain documentation and support knowledge sharing across teams.

As a Controls and Electrical Specialist (Electrician), you will support the safe and reliable operation of our manufacturing facility by maintaining and improving electrical and control systems in a regulated environment. Your Impact
Electrical Systems & Installation
  • Install, maintain, test, and repair electrical systems, wiring, control panels, HVAC, and plant equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications

Total Rewards

We’re offering a competitive compensation with a starting rate of $40.00 per hour, based on a 40-hour week. Pay will be determined based on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
