Job description

Established principally in Ontario, Canada, St. Marys CBM is the building materials division of St. Marys Cement. CBM is a leading employer, producer, and supplier of Ready-Mix Concrete and related products.

CBM has more than 450 Ready-Mix trucks operating out of 40 plants. The plants are in areas from Hull, Quebec (serving the National Capital region) in the east, 475 miles to Windsor in the west with emphasis on the most heavily populated areas of the province.

To meet our growth needs, we require dedicated individuals to join our Greater Toronto Area fleet maintenance operations to repair and maintain our ready-mix truck fleet and related mobile equipment.

We are looking for a permanent full-time 310T Mechanic or 3rd year or higher 310T apprentice for the GTA region.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled inspections, preventive maintenance, running repairs, and service calls.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all vehicle systems.
• Enter repair and parts information into the electronic maintenance system.
• Actively maintain the parts inventory and shop supplies levels.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area, following all government and company safety and environmental requirements and policies.
• Organize work schedules to coordinate with plant personnel for truck demand.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Safety-oriented team player.
• Currently possess or working towards your 310T certificate of qualification.
• Ability to learn and share repair-related knowledge.
• Ability to work independently when required.
• Minimum full class G valid Ontario Driver's licence.
• A means of transportation to work location (various around GTA).
• Own a basic set of hand and power tools.
