Job summary

KAG Canada in Mississauga, ON, is seeking a licensed 310T Truck and Coach Technician as a working supervisor. You will interpret work orders, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair trucks and trailers.

Welding of non-code repairs and testing of repaired equipment are required. Flexibility to work evenings or weekends is anticipated, with company-paid benefits and an RRSP/DPSP matching program.

Qualifications

• Licensed 310T journeyman technician
• Experience diagnosing faults and performing preventive maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical manuals
• Welding repairs using oxy-acetylene; non-code work

Responsibilities

• Interpret work orders and technical manuals; perform scheduled preventive maintenance
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions; repair or replace defective parts on trucks and trailers
• Weld repairs using oxy-acetylene equipment (non-code)
• Test repaired equipment to ensure compliance with specs and regulations
• Complete service repair orders and bill for parts used
• Maintain flexible schedule, including potential evenings and weekends

310T Truck and Coach Technician- Working Supervisor

The Kenan Advantage Group Inc., (KAG), is North America’s largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider, delivering energy commodities, specialty products, merchant gases, and food products across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

We have full-service shops where our Heavy Equipment Technicians and Trailer Techs are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of our fleet of transport trucks and trailers.

We are seeking Licensed Journey person 310T Technician.

Working foreman position. Monday to Friday.

About the position:

• Interpret work orders and technical manuals, perform scheduled preventative maintenance services, diagnose faults or malfunctions
• Adjusting equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems on truck and trailers
• Operating oxy-acetylene torches or perform minor welding repairs (non-code work)
• Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work done meets manufacturers’ specifications and legislated regulations
• Completing service repair orders and bill out all parts used on repair order
• Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends
