Job summary

TEAM Group is seeking a qualified 310T Diesel Mechanic Apprentice (3rd or 4th Year) to support our Vac Truck Fleet at Mount Albert, ON. The role runs on an afternoon shift, 2:00pm–12:00am, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime.

Offered wages range from CAD 30.00 to CAD 38.00 per hour, based on experience, plus comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities. Valid G license preferred; Red Seal is an asset.

Qualifications

• 3rd or 4th year 310T Truck and Coach Technician Registered Apprentice (Ontario).
• Red Seal endorsement considered an asset.
• Experience with heavy‑duty trucks and fleet maintenance.
• Valid G Class driver’s license (DZ/AZ asset).
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to interpret schematics, service manuals, and technical data.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Vac Trucks and fleet equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct inspections and ensure MTO safety standards compliance.
• Complete and maintain service/inspection documentation.
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, brake, and suspension systems.
• Review maintenance history to support proactive servicing.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members.
• Support and mentor junior technicians when required.

Pay

$30.00 to $38.00/hr based on experience.

Schedule

• Afternoon shift coverage, 2:00pm-12:00am, Monday to Friday, in shop
• Occasional Weekends and overtime as required

• Review maintenance history to support proactive servicing schedules
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Support and mentor junior technicians when required

Qualifications

• Verified 3rd or 4th years 310T Truck and Coach Technician Registered Apprentice (Ontario)
• Red Seal endorsement considered an asset
• Experience working with heavy-duty trucks and fleet maintenance
• Valid G Class driver’s license (DZ/AZ considered an asset)
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
