Starting at $40 per hour

Transit Truck and Coach Field Service Technician for Electric Bus Fleet

Join the forefront of innovation and sustainable transit solutions in the transportation industry. Work as a Field Service Mechanic Technician for an international transit manufacturer and parts distributor. This role involves providing expertise on high voltage electric transit buses. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, or related fields. Experience with trucks, coaches, or aircraft is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Work with advanced electric vehicle and hydrogen fuel cell technology; troubleshoot electronic, electrical, and high voltage issues, resolving them effectively.
• Install electrical systems and components in transit vehicles.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic equipment.
• Replace parts, light fixtures, wiring, relays, motors, and other electrical components.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical problems using testing devices such as ammeters, voltmeters, multimeters, and cable testers.
• Inspect electrical components like transformers and circuit breakers.

Qualifications:

• Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Provincial/Territorial equivalent with Red Seal Endorsement (RSE).
• 2+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, or related fields preferred.
• Knowledge of 12V, 24V, 600V systems, and air conditioning systems preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of multiplex systems preferred.
• Ability to work from blueprints, schematics, and instructions.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills and experience.
• Experience with wiring, circuit testing, and general repairs.
• PLC and ladder logic experience preferred.
• High voltage experience and hydrogen training or certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of transit bus/hybrid and electric drive systems is beneficial but not required.

Pay starts at $40 per hour, depending on experience.
