Job summary

GLS Canada in Brampton, Ontario, is seeking a full-time mechanic to service GLS equipment. Shift 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday–Friday, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus. Located at 300 Biscayne Cres., Brampton, this role offers an hourly wage up to $45 based on experience.

Join a small shop focusing on GLS equipment, with opportunities for advancement and benefits beginning at start date. Must hold 310T license; dual licenses and heater/ reefer experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Must have 310T license.
• AZ, Forklift licenses preferred.
• Reefer/Heater experience is a plus.
• Eligible for corporate insurance programs on day of hire.
• Experience using CMMS for work orders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize and coordinate inspections, maintenance and repairs for vehicles and equipment.
• Coordinate with operations to plan equipment readiness and downtime.
• Explain and record work performed and parts used into CMMS.
• Identify causes of malfunctions and plan corrective actions.
• Ensure accurate completion of work orders and labour times.
• Maintain valid 310T license.

• Plan, prioritize and coordinate inspections, maintenance and repairs for vehicles and equipment as required
• Coordinate with operations to plan equipment readiness and downtime
• Accurately explain and write all work performed and resources used into CMMS
• Identify the causes (diagnostics) of malfunctions and failures and plan to eliminate recurring causes
• Check and accurately complete work orders (time and parts taken for repairs)
• Ensure the correct Labour times are applied for repairs and inform Supervisor if additional time/repairs are required
• Have a valid 310T License
