Job summary

Fountain Tire Timmins (2090 Riverside Drive) is seeking a skilled 310s Automotive Service Technician to join our team. The role offers competitive wages and a relocation bonus, along with health, dental, vision benefits and a company-matching retirement plan.

You will diagnose and repair vehicle systems, perform maintenance, advise customers, and uphold safety standards in a full-time daytime schedule with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive experience
• 310s status in Automotive Service Technician trade
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence (annual)
• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions on customer vehicles
• Perform repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Complete approved service on customer vehicles
• Test and adjust vehicle systems to manufacturer specifications
• Perform scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair needs
• Maintain mechanical service equipment on a regular schedule

You will get to:

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle


• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency


• Completing approved service on customer vehicles


• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications


• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.


• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements


• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis


• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner


• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

• 310s status in the Automotive Service Technician trade


• 5+ years of automotive experience required


• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers


• A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology


• The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills


• Commitment to providing a superior customer experience


• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
