Job summary

Northern Roads Auto Group is hiring an Automotive Technician for Lindsay Kia in Lindsay, Ontario. The role involves diagnosing malfunctions, servicing vehicles, and performing maintenance in a busy shop environment.

You will inspect electronic systems, verify warranty eligibility, and communicate clearly with customers and teammates while supporting safety policies and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Must possess a 310S license.
• Kia experience and/or EV experience is an asset.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and automotive repair knowledge.
• Valid G driver's license with clean record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems and upgrade as needed.
• Assess if additional safety or service work is required.
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, rotations, etc.).
• Maintain accurate repair records.
• Ensure warranty eligibility before warranty repairs.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate with service/parts teams.
• Keep workspace clean and hazard-free.
• Stay up-to-date with automotive tech and industry trends.
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow health and safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Availability: Open - Monday to Saturday

Compensation: $40 flat rate + 4 weeks paid vacation

You’ll love your position as an Automotive Technician:

• Diagnose the source of malfunctions and performing repairs.
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
• Determine if additional safety or service work is required through comprehensive examinations.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and brake inspections in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs, diagnostics, and services performed using digital systems or paper-based documentation as required.
• Ensure all vehicles qualify for warranty prior to performing warranty repairs.
• Perform road tests using safe driving standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers.
• Provide thorough information to the service and parts teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized and hazard‑free workspace.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest automotive technologies and industry advancements through continuous learning.
• Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Kia experience and/or EV experience is an asset.
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude and be well versed in automotive repair.
• Valid G Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Must be able to lift 85 lbs.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Strong communication skills.
