Job summary

Northern Roads Auto Group in Fort Erie is seeking an Automotive Technician to diagnose malfunctions, inspect electronic systems, and perform maintenance following manufacturer guidelines. You must hold a 310S license, have a valid G license, lift up to 85 lbs, and bring strong mechanical aptitude.

Toyota or EV experience is an asset; clear documentation and customer service are essential. We offer open availability Monday–Saturday with a compensation of $32 to $38 per hour based on experience

  • Toyota experience and/or EV experience is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and be well versed in automotive repair.
  • Valid G Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
  • High School Diploma or equivalency.
  • Must be able to lift 85 lbs.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose the source of malfunctions and perform repairs.
  • Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
  • Determine if additional safety or service work is required through examinations.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and brake inspections.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
  • Ensure vehicles qualify for warranty prior to warranty repairs.
  • Perform road tests using safe driving standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers."
  • Provide thorough information to service and parts teams.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and hazard-free workspace.
  • Stay up-to-date with latest automotive technologies and industry advancements.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow health and safety policies and procedures.

Availability: Open - Monday to Saturday

Compensation: $32 to $38 based on experience and training.

You'll love your position as an Automotive Technician:

  • Diagnose the source of malfunctions and performing repairs.
  • Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.
  • Determine if additional safety or service work is required through comprehensive examinations.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and brake inspections in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of repairs, diagnostics, and services performed using digital systems or paper-based documentation as required.
  • Ensure all vehicles qualify for warranty prior to performing warranty repairs.
  • Perform road tests using safe driving standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customers.
  • Provide thorough information to the service and parts teams.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and hazard-free workspace.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and industry advancements through continuous learning.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
