Job summary

Alleguard in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a General Labour to support production and repack operations, moving products through the drying/curing room and preparing items for shipment.

In this role you will read work orders, record unit counts, package materials, label items, secure pallets, and maintain a safe, organized workspace while adhering to environmental and safety policies. Hours are 3:30pm–12am, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required as production needs change.

Qualifications

  • Hardworking and enthusiastic.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Able to manage and set priorities in a changing environment.
  • High degree of self-motivation and flexibility.
  • Analytical and structured work approach.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.
  • Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
  • Pack materials and products for shipment or storage according to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Label items accurately and clearly in accordance with shipping and inventory guidelines.
  • Strap, wrap, or secure packages and pallets to ensure safe transport and storage.
  • Clean equipment, work areas, and general facility space to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area. Perform duties in compliance with all safety policies and practices.
  • Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area.
  • Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control.
  • Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities.
  • Follow all Environmental and Safety policies.
  • Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.
  • Other duties asassigned.

Job Summary

Support the production and repack operations through the physical movement of products that are required to be processed through the drying/curing room.

Pay
  • $18/hr (probation first three months)
  • $18.72 following three-month probationary period

Physical Demands
  • Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs, and push or pull up to 100lbs
Schedule
  • Monday through Friday
  • 3:30pm-12am
  • Flexibility is a must; hours subject to change depending on production needs
