Job summary

Alleguard in Scarborough, ON is hiring General Labour to support production and repack operations. You will move products through the drying/curing room, read work orders, record units, and ensure materials are packed and labeled per standards.

Adhere to safety and environmental policies on a Monday–Friday schedule with a 3:30pm–12am shift. Ideal candidates are hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to work under limited supervision while maintaining an organized work area and meeting shipping

• Strap, wrap, or secure packages and pallets to ensure safe transport and storage.
• Clean equipment, work areas, and general facility space to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Compliance with environmental and safety policies and procedures.

Position: General Labour

Job Summary

Support the production and repack operations through the physical movement of products that are required to be processed through the drying/curing room.

Pay

• $18/hr (probation first three months)


• $18.72 following three-month probationary period

Responsibilities

• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.


• Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.


• Pack materials and products for shipment or storage according to company standards and customer requirements.


• Label items accurately and clearly in accordance with shipping and inventory guidelines.


• Strap, wrap, or secure packages and pallets to ensure safe transport and storage.


• Clean equipment, work areas, and general facility space to maintain a safe and organized environment.


• Maintain an organized and clean work area. Perform duties in compliance with all safety policies and practices.


• Compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements of the area.


• Know the environmental aspects of the area and its control.


• Know the environmental impacts associated with their activities.


• Follow all Environmental and Safety policies.


• Comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.


• Other duties asassigned.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.


• Able to manage and set priorities in a changing environment.


• High degree of self-motivation and flexibility.


• Analytical and structured work approach.

Physical Demands

• Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.


• Must be able to lift 50lbs, and push or pull up to 100lbs

Schedule

• Monday through Friday


• 3:30pm-12am


• Flexibility is a must; hours subject to change depending on production needs
