Job summary

Farm Boy Inc. seeks a 2nd Class Operating Engineer for a full-time, direct-hire position in Collingwood, Ontario.

The role focuses on boilers, pressure vessels, compressed air, and SCADA-based controls in a large industrial setting, with a unionized work environment and strong emphasis on safety and reliability. You will join a skilled plant operations team, maintain critical utility systems, and contribute to smooth production operations with rotating 12-hour shifts, including days and nights.

Qualifications

• Experienced operating engineer with boiler, pressure vessel, compressed air, plant utilities, and SCADA controls.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, compressed air systems, and related plant utilities.
• Monitor and control utility systems using SCADA and computer-based controls.
• Support reliable supply of steam, compressed air, and RO water to internal operations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and equipment documentation for maintenance.
• Participate in preventative maintenance, TPM activities, weekend operations, and plant shutdowns.
• Work independently while collaborating with the Chief Operating Engineer and production stakeholders.
