Qualifications

• Ontario 3rd Class Stationary Engineer certification or higher is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial maintenance or powerhouse experience.
• Strong working knowledge of steam boilers, thermal heating systems, HVAC and water treatment equipment.
• Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, operate and troubleshoot steam boilers, thermal heaters, HVAC systems, cooling towers, chillers and water treatment systems.
• Support the operation of steam boilers and thermal heating systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and operational issues across industrial utility systems, including older equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, inspections and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate equipment repairs with internal tradespeople and external contractors.
• Troubleshoot building automation and HVAC control systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Stationary Engineer who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, maintaining critical plant utilities, and providing technical guidance to maintenance teams. The position is salaried and non-union, with no rotating shifts.

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Maintain, operate and troubleshoot steam boilers, thermal heaters, HVAC systems, cooling towers, chillers and water treatment systems.
• Support the operation of steam boilers and thermal heating systems
• Diagnose mechanical and operational issues across a variety of industrial utility systems, including older equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate equipment repairs with internal tradespeople and external contractors.
• Troubleshoot building automation and HVAC control systems.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Valid Ontario 3rd Class Stationary Engineer certification or higher.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial maintenance or powerhouse experience.
• Strong working knowledge of steam boilers, thermal heating systems, HVAC and water treatment equipment.
• Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance experience.

Salary Range:

$90,000-$100,000 annually, plus paid overtime after 40 hours per week.
