Job summary

PTW Energy Services seeks an Apprentice Electrician for industrial construction projects in Alberta. You must be a 2nd–4th year apprentice with strong safety focus, able to read drawings and codes, and support journeymen on installations.

This CAMP FIFO role is from Edmonton or Calgary with 7 days on/7 days off and ends December 29, 2026. Overtime paid at 1.5x; competitive wage and tuition reimbursement available for pursuing certification.

Qualifications

  • Indentured 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Electrical Apprentice with provincial regulatory body.
  • Familiar with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
  • MUST HAVE Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid and CSTS 2020.
  • Able to read electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
  • Strong safety focus and good communication skills
  • Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical codes
  • Install motors, PLCs, control circuits, conduit, wiring, and panels
  • Support three-phase systems and motor terminations

Role Summary:

We are seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team on various construction projects. The Apprentice is a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year Electrical Apprentice with relevant industrial or commercial experience who is committed to delivering safe, high-quality work that meets client needs. This role requires strong attention to detail, and a focus on safety, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Journeyman Electricians with installation of industrial electrical systems
  • Interpret drawings, schematics, and electrical codes

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from $35.48 - $42.57,commensurate with experience and certification
  • Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate...
  • This is a CAMP job Fly in Fly out from Edmonton or Calgary only
  • The rotation is 7 days on 7 days off and is temporary until December 29, 2026
  • Pre Access Drug and Alcohol testing is required
