Job summary

PTW Energy Services is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support industrial construction projects near Wandering River, Alberta. You will install electrical systems, read blueprints, and ensure code compliance while collaborating with other trades on demanding site conditions.

The role emphasizes safety, shift flexibility, and a path for skill growth within Western Canada’s leading Electrical and Instrumentation contractor.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial construction electrical work.
• Valid safety certifications (H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP/MEWP, First Aid, CSTS 2020).
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team working on our various construction sites near Wandering River, Alberta. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
• Minimum of 2years of experience in industrial construction electrical work
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, AWP/MEWP,Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020,
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
• Valid driver's licence
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage ranging from $45, commensurate with experience and certification
• Shift: 10 days on, 4 days off
• Hours: 11 per day, 8 Regular, 3 Overtime
• Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
• Comprehensive extended health benefits after 3 months, including dental and vision coverage, physiotherapy, massage therapyand mental health support, etc.
