Job summary

Kootenay-Columbia School District is seeking casual employees to join the On-Call List for Inclusion Support Employees, including Education Assistants, Child Care Workers, and Child and Youth Care Workers. Casual staff may work 3–5 days weekly across Rossland, Trail, Fruitvale, Castlegar, and Robson, with potential for a future permanent position.

Inclusion Support staff enjoy winter, spring breaks and summers off; posting closes September 11, 2026.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Education Assistant one-year certificate program, which includes a practicum, or equivalent combination of education, recent training, and experience.

Job description

Kootenay-Columbia School District is looking for casual employees for the On-Call List for Inclusion Support Employees (Education Assistants, Child Care Workers, and Child and Youth Care Workers). Casual staff can expect to work 3 to 5 days a week; however, casual work cannot be guaranteed. Individuals looking to work in a rewarding team environment all across our School District (Rossland, Trail, Fruitvale, Castlegar, Robson) with the likelihood of attaining a permanent position in the future.

Job Details

• Rate of Pay: Ranges from $32.46-$34.08/hour
