Job summary

School District No. 91 Nechako Lakes invites applications for a Meal Program Worker. This position supports the daily functions of the Meal Program and contributes to the District’s Strategic Education Plan by helping prepare and serve meals at the school level.

Responsibilities include cooking and food preparation with kitchen equipment, maintaining food safety, and assisting with meal logistics such as ordering groceries, receiving deliveries, and coordinating daily lunch orders for students.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate).
• Current Food Safe certificate.
• WHMIS certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures.
• Six months of current relevant experience in a catering/commercial kitchen environment.
• Valid BC Driver's License class 5 with exemplary driving record.
