Job summary

Sources is seeking a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to join our Behavior Analyst and Consultation team in Prince George and surrounding areas. The role requires travel bi-weekly, a BCBA certification or active pursuit, and a Master’s degree with two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or actively pursuing BCBA certification (enrolled in Masters/ABA course sequence).
  • Two years of experience conducting behavior assessments resulting in an Intervention Plan or Positive Behavior Support Plan, while pursuing BCBA certification.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to surrounding communities using personal vehicle.
  • Develops Intervention Plans with evidence-based ABA and PBS.
  • Conducts assessments (VB-MAPP, FBA, etc.) across environments.
  • Maintains confidential client information and coordinates with care team.
  • Liaises with caregivers and service team; supports program in compliance with policies.

Position: Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Location:Prince George and Surrounding Area

We are looking for a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst to join our Behavior Analyst and Consultation team! This individual must be available to travel to surrounding areas bi-weekly, possess a class 5 driver’s license, possess a BCBA Certification or actively pursuing BCBA certification (enrolled in Masters/ABA course sequence).

General Responsibilities:
  • Travel to surrounding communities using personal vehicle.

Program-specific Responsibilities:

Client relateddutiesincluding:
  • Schedulesandattendsmeetingsasrequired.
  • Cariesacaseload of clientsasassignedand asrequired.
  • Liaisewithothercaregiversonthepersonsservedserviceteam.
  • Advocatesforthepersonsservedasrequiredandacceptablewithinthe contract help with MCFD.
  • Maintainconfidentialityofallsocietyandclientrelatedinformation.
  • Conducts Intake Assessments, Ecology Assessments, the VB-MAPP, Functional Behavioural Assessments, and other assessments as required, in multiple environments with each of the persons served.
  • Develops Intervention Plans that incorporateevidence-basedinterventioninthefieldofAppliedBehaviourAnalysis, and Positive Behaviour Support Plans, based on assessment data, the goalsand characteristicsofthepersonsserved,andthe ecologyofthe family of the persons served.
  • Teaches anddemonstratesthe strategies in the InterventionPlanand/orPositiveBehaviourSupportPlantothepersons served, caregivers and Behaviour Interventions, within the relevantenvironment(s).
  • Implements and oversee the collection of evidence based pre and post test data and monitor the data to determine the effectiveness of the program.
  • ModifiesIntervention Plans and Positive Behavior Support Plans as necessary, based on data, to improve plan effectiveness.
Administrativedutiesincluding:
  • Performsdutieswiththeassignedbalanceofdirect,indirectand administrative time.
  • Keepsaccuratestatisticsofhoursanddailytasksinthedesignatedformat.
  • Keepsaccurateand legiblerecordson allcasework.
  • ReviewsallclientsonaregularbasiswiththeProgramManagerand during clinical meetings.
  • Maintainsaprofessionalattitudeandbehaviouraswellasdemonstrate respectful and professional communication with staff, families, othercaregiversand professionals.
  • Servesasanin-servicetrainerfortheemployeraswellasacommunity trainer asrequired.
  • Establishesandmaintainsapositivenetworkofcontactswithinthe communities being served.
  • Works with the program’s team to ensure the program meets all of Sources’PoliciesandProceduresaswellasallapplicableCOAstandards.

  • Combination of two years’ experience conductingBehaviourAssessments resulting in the creation of an Intervention Plan or PositiveBehaviourSupport Plan that incorporatesevidence-based intervention in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis along while actively pursuing BCBA certification. Along with possessing a master's degree in related fields.
