SCHEDULE

On call basis. No guarantee of hours. Dependent on school needs. For the current school year only.

EDUCATION

Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent; post secondary education in a related field including but not limited to Autism or Behaviour Science Courses/Program; Educational Assistant Courses/Program; Early Learning Courses/Program; Teaching Program

SUMMARY

Assist the teacher, educational support personnel and early childhood educators in the classroom to help maintain a safe, caring and respectful learning environment. Follow lesson plans and/or instructions provided to you by the classroom teacher or other classroom staff. Provide supervision as assigned by the school Administrator.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
• Post secondary education in a relatedfield
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience in a classroom setting or similar environment
• Ability and willingness to perform physical tasks and assist with personal care when required
• Ability to remain calm and non confrontational under pressure
• Current BMS Training Certificate would be an asset
• Current First Aid Certificate would be an asset
