Job summary

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment Limited is hiring a Third Cook to join our team in Canada. The role focuses on proper food preparation and presentation, strict safety standards, and maintaining a clean workspace in a high-volume kitchen.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or a minimum of one-year related work experience.
• Safe food handling course and knife handling skills.
• Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming and Commission of Ontario.
• Proven high level of customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced large volume business.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in hot, cold and humid environments.

Responsibilities

• Proper preparation and presentation of food with strict adherence to food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized work space in compliance with OHSA and Board of Health requirements.
• Assist with inventory and putting orders away.
• Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Adhere to departmental quality standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
