Greater Victoria School District No 61 is seeking a 1.0 Temporary Psychologist to provide school psychology services from Quadra Warehouse and support multiple schools in the Greater Victoria area. The role runs through June 30, 2027, with a competitive salary package and BC licensure required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in School Psychology with focus on school psychology.
  • Experience consulting with teachers, parents, students and community agencies.
  • Collaborating with school-based/district personnel to design instructional strategies and behavioural interventions.
  • Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Special Education Policies and Procedures.
  • Licensed CHCPBC.
  • Meets GVSD qualification criteria.
  • Level C Testing.

Job Description and Requirements
  • Based out of Quadra Warehouse and supporting various schools
  • End Date: June 30, 2027
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in School Psychology or related field with a focus on school psychology, including graduate training in measurement and individual psychological assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability in consulting with teachers, parents, students and community agencies regarding the nature of students, strengths and needs, the educational implications, and ways to enhance learning
  • Demonstrated ability in collaborating with school-based and/or district personnel to design or implement instructional strategies, and design or implement behavioural interventions
  • Knowledge of the Ministry of Education, Special Education Policies and Procedures
  • Licensed under College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
  • Meet criteria as outlined in “Qualifications for Teaching Positions in the GVSD #61′
  • Level C Testing
