A global IT services company in Brazil is looking for a Mid-Senior Level IT Support Engineer to lead L2/L3 production support for Linux environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Linux and Unix systems, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills. This full-time role requires flexibility for non-standard working hours and offers opportunities for coaching and mentoring within the team.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience in Linux and Unix systems.
• Deep expertise in filesystem, volume, and storage management.
• Strong knowledge of networking, clustering (PCS), and system hardening.

Responsibilities

• Lead L2/L3 production and project support for Linux environments
• Manage installations, patching, migrations, and scripting (Shell & Perl)
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues across Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, and AIX
• Optimize system performance and availability
• Coach and mentor team members
• Work with ITIL-based tools and monitoring systems

Requirements and Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Linux and Unix systems
• Deep expertise in filesystem, volume, and storage management
• Strong knowledge of networking, clustering (PCS), and system hardening
• Familiarity with SAN/NAS, backup tools (TSM, VEEAM), and storage suites (EMC, NetApp, Hitachi)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work weekends and non-standard hours
• Advanced English

Bonus Points

• Experience with Veritas Cluster, Apache, DNS, DHCP, LDAP
