About the Position
In this role, you will be instrumental in developing innovative products, processes, and methods that align with both internal and external customer requirements. Your contributions will be vital in manufacturing high-quality products, with a focus on reducing complexity while maintaining high standards. The position is essential for ensuring the creation of high-quality tire products that align with Goodyear’s standards and customer expectations.
Location: Americana Plant, São Paulo, Brazil

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop products, processes, and methods that meet internal and external customer requirements.
• Support the evaluation of products, processes, and methods to obtain results.
• Contribute to the manufacture of quality products and processes with a focus on reducing complexity and maintaining high standards.
• Communicate and solve problems by interpreting and analyzing data.
• Translate product needs into experimental data or design parameters.
• Work with teams and product groups to bring technology to market.
• Obtain required training and skill development for position-specific skills and personal development.

Required Education and Experience

• Mechanical Engineering degree (or relevant field), required.
• 4+ years in the tire or automotive industry.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical projects.
• Understanding of the Goodyear Product Creation Process (PCP) is preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Power Point, Excel).
• Fluent in English, required; Portuguese and Spanish preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Practical understanding of science and technology applied to the design and analysis of tires.
• Understanding of technical drawings and procedures.
• Proficiency in statistical design and analysis, including cause and effect analysis and risk analysis.
• Ability to carry out assignments logically using existing technology and standard methods.
• Basic organization, communication, and experimentation skills.
